The Saltwater Sauna (Boscombe) SAUNA HOUSE
“Go on your own and the bench still takes you in. Steam, sea air, and easy talk with strangers who don't stay strangers for long. You leave lighter than you arrived.”
The Saltwater Sauna's flagship venue and the UK's largest beachfront sauna. A 35-person communal Nordic sauna built by Finnmark on the Boscombe shoreline, open all year, with direct sea access for cold dips between rounds. 90-minute sessions centre around communal sauna culture: open social sessions and guided rituals led by certified sauna masters, incorporating thermal leaf whisking, herbal infusions, and salt inhalations. A two-tier curved sauna with pebble flooring and a stove engineered for deep löyly at scale. The first communal sauna of its kind in the UK. The full flow: check in at reception, change in the unisex changing space with private curtained pods and personal-code lockers, shower before entering, then heat, cool, and pause in the lounge with complimentary herbal tea between rounds. Boscombe's sandy shoreline offers easy, gradual sea entry - dip fully or simply breathe by the water's edge. Facilities include hot and cold showers, cold bucket shower, drinking water tap, tea tap and toilets on site.
