Haar Sauna at St Ninian's Beach is where it all began — perched at the edge of one of the UK's most iconic tombolo beaches in Shetland, surrounded by open sand and sea. Wood-fired heat, wide skies, and the option of a cold dip in the sea between rounds. Free parking nearby with a short walk across the dunes to reach the sauna. Based at 60° north, Haar is Scotland's original outdoor sauna company — the UK's closest experience to traditional Nordic sauna, not just in temperature but in spirit. Created as a place to gather through the long northern winters, it's a modern meeting place rooted in wild landscape, community, and the power of deep heat.
