Elements Sauna

A British Sauna Society approved traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna in the grounds of the TCR Hub, Barnard Castle, County Durham — one of the few BSS-approved venues in the North East. Set in the heart of the North Pennines, with open countryside on the doorstep. Cold dips and wild swimming in nearby open water for contrast therapy between rounds. Community events and sauna sessions run throughout the year, open to all. No experience necessary - this is a welcoming, unpretentious setup built around the community it serves. Barnard Castle itself is worth the trip: market town, independent cafés, Bowes Museum. Build a half-day around it.
